MATERIALS & CRAFTSMANSHIP
Handcrafted in India from a richly textured deep matte red full-grain cowhide leather that will develop a beautiful patina over time. The leather is 1.8–2.0 mm thick (approximately 4.5–5 oz), offering the ideal balance of structure and softness. The leather features a naturally vintage finish with a broken-in look and a supple feel that only gets better with age and use.
All components—buckles, rivets, screws, rings—are crafted from military-grade solid brass with a durable black gunmetal finish, built for long life and rugged use. Each bag is equipped with heavy-duty original YKK metal zippers from Japan, ensuring reliability and strength. The sleek black gunmetal hardware brings a modern edge, keeping the aesthetic minimal yet bold.
The bag is stitched using high-tensile, abrasion-resistant nylon thread, ensuring long-lasting structural integrity. Stress points are hand-reinforced with double stitching and bar tacking, while edges are hand-burnished for a clean, polished finish that speaks to artisanal attention to detail.
The color of the bag you’re looking at right now is richly textured matte red dual-tone—warm, deep, and full of character—paired with a rugged, charcoal black recycled poly-drill lining that’s both eco-conscious and resilient.

- The Story Behind the Bag
It started with a question:
How little can we carry—and still have everything we need?
The answer came between train stations and festival grounds, in the pockets of long walks and early morning flights. The idea was never to add more, but to take less—and take it better.
We shaped it from matte red full-grain leather, soft but strong, broken-in like a favorite pair of boots. We used black gunmetal brass hardware, not for show, but for grit. And we kept it small. Just enough space for the essentials. Just enough style to make a statement.

Every stitch, every detail of your bag was thoughtfully crafted by Rituparna Banerjee, a skilled artisan with over 10 years of experience in leather craftsmanship. A mother of two, Rituparna finds her inspiration in both her family and her craft, weaving love and dedication into each product she creates.
Working from a small workshop in Kolkata, she is a true embodiment of resilience and artistry, balancing her duties as a mother and a craftsman with grace and precision. For her, making leather bags is more than just a job – it's a passion passed down through generations.

All our leather is ethically sourced from LWG gold certified tanneries around the world.
